Jack Romita      It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Senior Vice President, Jack Romita, Sr.. Jack was a cherished father, brother and uncle and a beloved friend and colleague to all at Castle. He began working for his father, Mauro Romita, Sr. in the company at a very young age after school. Among his earliest responsibilities were stoking the coal burners in the garage in the early hours of the morning before school to ensure that the diesel trucks would start. Jack joined the company full time in 1945 and worked as a salesman, dispatcher, driver, serviceman - whatever needed to be done. He quickly assumed responsibility for the fleet and all maintenance. This is a responsibility, the scope of which expanded dramatically over the years and, which he held until the day of his death. In addition to his day to day responsibilities at Castle, Mr. Romita served the company on its board of directors. Jack was known for his extraordinary warmth, care and concern for all of his employees, high energy, perpetually positive outlook and wonderful sense of humor. Jack was Castle's historian, chronicling the many phases of Castle's success over the years through the photos and mementos proudly displayed in his office. His sense of caring and a ready smile were ever present. He was truly the soul of Castle. His passing is a great loss to us all. While we mourn a terrible loss, we are privileged to have shared in, and we now celebrate, a life well lived. God bless you Jack.

What is your delivery territory?
Castle delivers petroleum products to customers within a fifty mile
radius of New York City.

Who and where does your oil come from?
Castle's Supply and Marketing Department purchases our products in the global marketplace, through brokers, commodities exchanges and directly from producers. Our traders are experts in finding and procuring products in the quantities and with the specifications required to satisfy our customers' energy needs.

Will you provide next day delivery?
It is always preferable for our customers to order oil two days in advance so that we may avoid scheduling difficulties, however, in emergency situations, same day delivery requirements will be accommodated.

Do you offer service contracts?
Castle is pleased to offer annual service contracts on all types of boilers. We will also provide service on a time and materials payment basis.

What is the benefit I receive from Castle owning their own terminals?
Since Castle owns its own terminals, we retain control of the product and inventory levels. This provides you with the security of knowing that you will not experience a supply interruption in uncertain times or inclement weather; competitive pricing because we purchase directly from the market rather than a wholesale supplier; and the comfort of knowing that our quality control professionals check every product for adherence to stringent specifications before it ever enters our tanks or yours.

Do you control your own delivery (own your own trucks)?
We have the largest fleet of company owned vehicles in the New York metropolitan area.

Will you provide boiler cleanings?
Castle provides cleanings pursuant to the terms of our service contracts as well as emergency cleanings and cleanings on a time and materials basis.

What are the benefits of automatic deliveries?
The peace of mind for homeowners and properties that do not have on site superintendents that we are calculating when you will need your next delivery and scheduling it for you.

Will you calculate a budget billing plan for me?
Castle is pleased to offer eligible customers the option of paying for your fuel on a budget plan. We calculate the payments you will need to make during a ten month year based upon your prior annual consumption. We will keep you apprised during the year of whether your balance is positive or negative. Occasionally, we will adjust your payment amount up or down to more closely match your actual consumption. After the close of the season, we will refund or credit your account with any monies due you. If your balance is negative, you will be required to settle that amount prior to beginning the next year's budget and deliveries.

Do you offer DOB & DAR registrations?
Yes. Our in-house service staff specializes in all types of regulatory filing.
